Match Report
Gunners lost their third lead game in a row against league leaders Palmer FC.
A tough game was expected from the league leaders and Palmer started the brighter of the sides with some good breaks down the wings and had a couple of early chances.
Palmer FC took the lead when Gunners failed to clear a loose ball and they scored with a shot from the edge of the box.
However, Gunners fought back and managed to equalise in the first half to leave the half time score at 1-1.
In the second half, Gunners were punished for not defending well from corners and Palmer added three goals from corners or free kicks into the box.
Palmer also added a fifth goal when they scored from a long range effort from the touchline which flew in over the keeper.
Gunners did keep plugging away and were rewarded with a consolation goal after some neat interplay between Lee Bonnici who fed Carl Littlechild and he crossed the ball for Paul Clark to score from close range.
Palmer were clear victors on the day and Gunners really need to think about how they are going to defend more effectively from corners, which has been a particular weakness this year.
However, Gunners did give plenty more effort during the game which was more encouraging.
Gunners "Man of the Match" was Dave Owen who worked hard in the middle of midfield.

Purple Turtle vs Earley Gunners 2 - 1
Match Report
Gunners lost their second league game in a row against Purple Turtle. Gunners had an early break through when Dave Owen opened the scoring direct from a corner. However

The defence were under constant pressure and Purple Turtle grabbed an equaliser with they scored with a free header from a corner.
This gave Turtle the incentive they needed and they drove on for a second goal which they scored late in the game from close range after a free kick from the edge of the box.
Gunners were unable to respond in the final few minutes leaving Purple Turtle deserving the win.
Gunners "Man of the Match" was Julian Willis for a good display in goal.
Gunners will really need to improve upon this performance if they are to finish in the top half of the table.

Earley Gunners vs Loxwood Res 5 - 3
Match Report
Gunners earned a win their first league game in 2 and a half months (and their first game in a month) against Loxwood Res.
The lack of match sharpness showed in the first ten minutes when Loxwood started the better of the sides and had some early pressure.
However, Gunners soon began to create chances with Loxwoods defence looking a little shaky and Gunners then raced into a 3-0 lead.
The first goal came from Richard Alderton after a pass from Carl Littlechild, the second came from Stuart Bye and the third was a well struck shot from Dave Owen after an assist from Paul Clark.
However, Loxwood gave themselves some hope of coming back into the game when they scored with a header about ten minutes before the end of the first half. No further goals were added and the half time score was 3 - 1 to Gunners.
In the second half, Gunners were looking a little sluggish and allowed Loxwood to add a second goal to put them right back in the game. However, Gunners gained some breathing space when Stuart Bye chased a ball and forced an own goal from Loxwood.
However, Loxwood refused to give up and got back into the game with a third, then had a shot cleared off the line by Paul Ali and also had a well struck shot disallowed for off-side.
With things seeming to go against them, some of the Loxwood players lost their heads resulting in a couple of bookings and then a red card for swearing at the Referee which reduced them to 10 men.
This gave Gunners the breathing space they needed and they made things certain with a fifth goal from Paul Clark.
Overall, it wasn’t a great display from Gunners and a lack of games and training over the past several weeks definitely showed.
With both teams allowing their opponents opportunities to score it seemed a case of which team was going to score the most goals and Gunners were more clinical in front of goal on the day. Gunners "Man of the Match" was Dave Owen.
