Match Report
Gunners played their second game in two months against JMT Installations who were performing well in the league.
Gunners nearly opened the scoring in the first few minutes when a Matt Rees header was well saved by the opposing keeper.
However, JMT then had a good period of possession and played a couple of dangerous balls across the face of the goal. JMT finally made their pressure tell when they opened the scoring.
Gunners did pull a goal back when Dave Owen controlled the ball from a corner, swivelled and shot from close range to make it 1 - 1. Gunners then had a clear shout for a penalty when Matt Rees was pushed from behind, although this was not given by the referee.
In the second half Gunners made a sluggish start with the lack of recent games showing and JMT had some early period of pressure. They were fortunate to take a the lead again when they were awarded an extremely dubious penalty when Marcus was adjudged to have handled the ball when it clearly hit his chest. This was duly converted to make it 2 - 1.
However, Gunners got into their stride and dominate the last 20 minutes of the game apart from the occasional break.
Dave Owen levelled the scores after some good work by Carlton Dickson and Paul Stout and Gunners then had 3 clear opportunities to win the game but they were denied by an in form JMT keeper.
The final result was a 2-2 draw with Gunners feeling some of the key decisions in the key had not gone their way.
Paul Marten was Gunners "Man of the Match".
