Gunners AGM 2002

Gunners AGM Summary

Gunners end of season AGM / Awards Ceremony was held at Paul Clarks house.

First up was the "Most Improved Player" award which went to goalkeeper Julian Willis who had a very solid season in goal.

The Top Scorer award went to Iain Peer who had very little competition all season. Iain scored 36 goals in 19 games to make him clear winner here.

Then it was time for the "Player of the Year" awards. 3rd Place went to Dave Owen for another good season in which he played 23 games and contributed 11 goals and 15 assists.

2nd Place was awarded to newcomer Iain Peer who had already bagged the Top Goal Scorer award. Unfortunately, Iain could not make the AGM and he was given his trophies afterwards.

Finally, the Player of the Year Award went to Paul Stout for an excellent season in the heart of midfield. Paul only joined the team early in the season and got his chance in the side due to late arrivals of other players in the Abbey game.

However, Paul seized his opportunity with a great game and kept his position in the heart of midfield for the rest of the season. Paul played 21 games and earned 4 "Man of the Match" awards. His tough combative style added some much needed bite into the Gunners midfield.
